Toddler Time Travellers

Our new, fun and relaxed Toddler Time Travellers sessions will take place fortnightly during term time on a Tuesday morning from 10.15 to 11.15 am.

The sessions, led by Learning Officer Victoria, are for children aged 0-5 and their adults. Join us to time travel through the museum with exploring, songs, crafts, and play!

Sessions are on every Tuesday!

These sessions are £3.50 per child. Book online here or just turn up and pay at the front desk!

Visiting the museum with young children

The museum is very child-friendly. We offer explorer kits that include hats, magnifying glasses, and torches, allowing kids to discover amazing things as they explore the museum. Additionally, we provide sensory backpacks designed to help children engage their senses and manage sensory overload.

Visitors can also enjoy a tea party using our popular Victorian stove, complete with play food, and dress up in our special exhibition gallery.

There are seasonal activity trails to guide you around the museum, along with activity sheets that help you explore specific objects or themes. For quieter moments, we have books and chairs available.
